How does the text , “Marigolds” connect to the unit’s essential question ,”Why do we feel the need to belong?’

I'm not sure what your uinit is about. Belonging isn't really a theme in this story. I suppose that Lizabeth does make fun of Miss Lottie and her house to fit in with the other kids but she cuts the marigolds for different reasons.
