What is the author's style in Manhunt by Janet Evanovich?

This story is told from the point of view of the third person omniscient. This point of view is ideal for this story because it does not allow either the thoughts of Alex or Casey to be more well-known. It should be noted that the story does focus on Alex, her search for love, and her struggle to prove she is capable of living in Alaska. However, importance is also placed on Casey's feelings and emotions. The reader is given insight into both how Alex feels and in some instances how Casey feels. Some of Casey's actions and his reasons for these actions are cloaked at first and only revealed later in the novel. This is true in the case of Casey's refusal to be married again. It is clear Casey does not want to be married again, his reasons behind this decision, however, are not clear.
