What is Asher’s Journal?

Asher’s journal is a symbol of the growing distance between Olivia and her son. She is surprised that he is intimate with his girlfriend, but she also begins to realize how little she knows about the life he has built for himself. She allows both of them to keep their own space, believing that Asher is entitled to his secrets.
