Macbeth is a good soldier but he is easily manipulated by others. The witches have a pretty easy time messing with his head which is basically why they meet up with him in the first place. Macbeth seems loyal to his king until the suggestion is made that he might become king one day. Macbeth is pretty obsessive. Once he has an idea, he can't let it go. He is very intense and is really transfixed by what the witches suggest.
