Lord of the Flies What is the author's tone in Lord of the Flies by William Golding? Asked by bookragstutor on 20 Aug 02:26 Last updated by Cat on 26 Jun 03:56
Golding is examining what he considers the base traits of human nature. Consequently the tone is dark, futile, pessimistic and violent. There are a few exceptions when Simon, Piggy, Ralph, and the twins are separated from the other boys.
