I’m not sure of the chapter, but why does pudge cry when his parents go to England?

Miles has second thoughts about Thanksgiving. He thinks that maybe staying back in the hopes of making out with Alaska isn't a realistic option. He calls his parents back but they have already bought tickets to England over the holidays to celebrate a second honeymoon. Miles feels homesick and sad that he had initially refused to join his parents.
