Who is The Junks from Lolita and what is their importance?

The Junks are H.H’s and Charlotte’s next door neighbour. They own a dog that darts in front of cars. One day the dog darts in front of Frederick Beal’s Packard and he inadvertently runs over Charlotte. This puts H.H. alone with Lolita.
