How does financial and social status affect Jo in chapter five when she sees Laurie again?

Jo is not easily intimidated by social, moral or financial issues. She has no problem trudging over to the Laurence house and throwing a snowball to get Laurie's attention. Nor does she have any trouble speaking her mind about what she thinks of Mr. Laurence. She is herself. She does not try to impress the wealthy neighbors.
