Amy was to host the art table at a charity event, but she is moved to the flower table at the last minute. The girls learn that it is because Mrs. Chester, who is in charge of the event, heard that Jo insulted her daughter when Jo was on a social call. She takes revenge on Jo by punishing Amy with the flower table, rather than the art table. So, Jo learns that her actions at any point can have a major effect on herself and her family later on.
