Little Women

Alcott only wrote Little Women at her publisher's suggestion. She preferred to write more adult novels. Describe the similarity between her feelings and those of Jo and her family in the book.

Jo's family is thrilled about her success. However, Mr. March thinks that she could do better than writing sensational stories. Jo shares his opinion. She strives to write what she wants to, but is required to write some things she'd rather not, in order to earn a living, like Alcott.
