Who is Lulu Walker from Little Altars Everywhere and what is their importance?

Lulu Walker, or Tallulah, is the third child of Viviane and Shepley Walker. She was named after the actress, Tallulah Bankhead. When she was little, Lulu twisted her hair around her finger when stressed, biting it off, an act that resulted in small bald patches all around her face. During adolescene, Lulu began shoplifting, stealing things like cosmetics, magazines, clothes, cowboy hats and ammo for guns. Lulu also has an overeating problem that began when she was a mere toddler.
