Who wrote Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness?

Thomas Jefferson notes peoples’ inalienable right to “life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness” in the Declaration of Independence. The phrase "pusuit of happiness" was taken from John Locke's book, An Essay Concerning Human Understanding.
