Why does Catherine refuse to enroll Anne Marie in the therapeutic nursery that is suggested to her in the nonfiction book, Let Me Hear Your Voice?

Catherine sees the nursery as a place where Anne Marie would simply be accepted as autistic. She decides against enrolling Anne Marie because she is seeking recovery or a cure for Anne Marie's autism... not simply management of her daughter as she is now.
