Why does Mikage agree to travel to the Izu Peninsula?

Mikage is going to travel to the Izu Peninsula for work in order to research recipes. Mikage actually agrees to go, however, in an effort to get time apart from Yuichi. She feels attached to him but is scared by these feelings.
