How does Part Three have a dream-like quality?

Part Three of the book has a dream-like quality because there are many times when Satsuki doesn't know if she is sleeping or not. She has dreams about the realistic events in her life, such as seeing Hitoshi on the bridge. The events that happen in her real life are actually quite more dream-like than the events that happen in her dreams.
