What is the theme in King Lear by William Shakespeare?

Loyalty and betrayal is a big theme. Leer simply trusts the wrong daughters. He sees too late that his youngest daughter Cordelia loves him with truth. Lear's hubris prevents him from seeing the real nature of his other daughters who seek to betray him.
