In Chapter 6, what plans did Patton make in case the Germans were planning an offensive in the Ardennes Forest?

Patton could not confirm that the Germans were planning on attacking from the Ardennes Forest. However, he made plans to rescue the First Army in case the Germans attacked to the north. He would abandon is open Operation Tink, and go up and save the First Army.
