How did Hitler pass his time in the bunker at the end of Chapter 17?

Hitler passed his time in the bunker by sleeping most days and staying up until dawn to scrutinize plans for battles. The tremors he had no longer allowed him to turn the pages of a book, so he had Goebbels read to him.
