Who is Kenzie van der Hoven from Keeping Faith and what is their importance?

Kenzie van der Hoven is the attorney ad litem assigned to represent Faith in the custody hearing. Kenzie first meets Faith and Mariah, then meets with Colin and Jessica. It's Kenzie who takes Faith outside, plays with her on the swings and allows her to play without fearing the reporters and religious zealots camped out at her driveway.
