why would Shakespeare continue to juxtapose Cesar's greatness with his weaknesses?

Caesar was respected by half of Rome, and hated by the other half. Caesar's own personality personified these extremes through both his strengths and weakness. For all of Caesar's power, he was also naive in who he trusted. He also failed to see the fickleness of the people in whom believed loved him.
