This is an example the use of ethos in Mark Anthony's speech in Act 3, sc ii. He makes an emotional connection with the crowd and shares his anguish at the deed he's been forced to commit. He also extols the crowd and asks them to put themselves in his position and asks if they would have done any less for their country. He states: “Who is here so vile that will not love his country? If any, speak—for him have I offended”
