What does Yuki give to Mr. Kurihara at the end of the chapter? Where does she leave it? Why?

Yuki lingers at the graveside, and when everyone else has gone, she takes her prized Indian arrowhead from her pocket and pushes it into the dust at the graveside as a parting gift to Mr. Kurihara.
