Character of Rab in Johnny Tremain?

Rab is a printer's apprentice at the local newspaper, the Boston Observer. Over the course of the novel, he and Johnny become close friends. Rab serves as a role model and mentor for Johnny in the time following his accident. Rab is a rebel and belongs to both the Boston Observer and the Son's of Liberty.
