Who is Solymon from Jerusalem Delivered and what is their importance?

Solymon is a great warrior, who takes over as the Saracen leader after Clorinda's death. He leads the attack and victory against the Prince of Denmark's army and kills Gildippe. Solymon is later slain by Rinaldo.
