Jane Eyre How does the author use foreshadowing in Jane Eyre? Asked by bookragstutor on 20 Aug 03:10 Last updated by Jill W on 27 Dec 00:26
One example of foreshadowing in the novel can be found in the chestnut tree that "writhed and groaned" as Rochester proposed to Jane. Later that night, the tree split in half...... foreshadowing the complications to follow.
