What are Lily's thoughts when she is in the car and looks in the rearview mirror at the end of Chapter 24?

As it begins to rain, Lily sits in the car and looks in her rearview mirror. She watches Emmy sitting peacefully looking out the window at the rain. Emmy does not know about the chaos that surrounds her existence. To Emmy, Lily is her entire existence and Emmy trusts her. She depends on Lily for everything and she sits happy and comfortable as if Lily has it all under control. Lily does not have it under control, but she is glad Emmy thinks she does.
