How does Ryle threaten Lily in Chapter 26?

Ryle comes to the flower shop. He mentions the texts he sent her and tells her he is sorry. He had been drinking. Lily tells him she sent them to her lawyer. He tells her that he is a neurosurgeon and she works with flowers. He tells her to remember that before her lawyer does anything stupid to threaten his career. He pays for her apartment. Then he stalks off.
