What is the main conflict in It's Not Summer Without You by Jenny Han?

There are two major conflicts in the novel and both are fought within Belly herself. Over the course of the novel, Belly experiences two types of grief..... the death of Sussanah, who was like a mother to her, and a break-up with her boyfriend that seems like the end of the world.
