After trying to race with his new, post-cancer survivor body, Lance grows increasingly discouraged with his performance. He once again wants to quit racing, and he wants to make an official announcement to the world. His friends recommend that he take more time to think about it before making an announcement. His manager, Bill Stapleton, is more blunt about the matter. He tells Lance that the world will remember him as "the guy who got cancer and never rode again."
