What evidence in Section 4 of "The Ending People" reveals Mother's emotional strength?

Mother shows that she is an emotionally strong woman when she encourages Ishi to look for Elder Uncle and Tushi. Even though his absence means that she will be alone for a whole day, she knows it is important for him to go look for them. While he searches, Mother gathers food from the plants around her and even offers some to Ishi as his dinner. Instead of feeling sad and angry, Mother is constructive and continues to care for her family.
