Amina is a coworker of the narrator’s at the Court. The narrator consistently marvels at how her coworkers can remain seemingly so unaffected by the highly disturbing testimony to which they listen at work. Amina eventually goes on maternity leave, and the narrator takes over for her in the trial where Amina was interpreting.
