Why is Sanjeev irritated by the decorations on the mantle of the fireplace?

Sanjeev is irritated by his wife's choice of decorations because they are all symbols of Christianity. Sanjeev and Twinkle are not Christians. None-the-less, these items were left behind by the homes previous owners, and Twinkle is entranced.... she wants to find more, much to the dismay of her husband.
