What does Layla do when she cannot sleep?

Layla cannot sleep on her first night in the camp, so she goes out for a walk, and finds her way back to the garden, where she starts to cry for her situation. Jake finds her there, and greets her by name; he also introduces himself by name: Corporal Jake Reynolds. He does not turn her in, just makes her go back to her trailer.
