After Layla's parents are herded into the police car, the police chief drives them slowly to the train station in LA. The chief passes this off with an apology, and says that he is just doing his job. Layla goes to school with the chief’s daughter, and she cannot resist tweaking him about her friendship with her, asking about her college plans.
