Who is Wardine?

Wardine is the character who, in Chapter 6, explains to a friend that she has been abused. Her mother beat her with a hanger. Her mother's boyfriend, Roy Tony, has made sexual remarks to Wardine. She is very afraid of him because she believes he once killed a man.
