Is James similar to his father?

James and his father are quite similar in some ways; they are both overachievers. They are both constantly reaching toward another goal. They are both aware of their own intelligence and ambition. Still, James does not seem to have the same drive for his sons. He might be unconsciously pushing them forward, but he is not doing it out of his own pride. His sons simply feel the need to be more like their father.
