A summary of the poem, Incident in a Rose garden shows a gardener telling the owner of the garden that he met death there in teh garden. The gardener says that he recognized him right away through his pictures. He looked like the grim reaper. He states that he was afraid that Death had come for him and as a result he is going to quit working in the garden and get his affairs in order. He talks about all of the things that he would like to do before he dies. We learn later that Death had come to visit the Master, not the gardener.
