Who is John Aratuk from Ice Hunt and what is their importance?

John is Jennifer's Inuit father and like her is as lean as a willow switch. At one time he and Matt were as close as brothers, but the death of Tyler had changed things and hardened him to Matt although Matt never sensed any blame from the man. Instead, he blamed Matt for the period of grief born drunkenness that followed. He soon forgives Matt and welcomes him back.
