Who is Jennifer Aratuk from Ice Hunt and what is their importance?

Jennifer is a Sheriff for the Nunamiut and Inupiat tribes. She spends one week out of her two week vacation working the trap lines her arthritic father is no longer able to, and enjoys running her team of dogs in the wilderness. Her family cabin is located at the outskirts of the park lands, in the lowland valley. Her father is a pure blooded Inuit native, and is still allowed to hunt and trap in certain areas of the park. Her dog team is made up of rescues or strays and is a mix of Lab mixes, Sheppard crosses and Malamutes. She has a full team of sixteen in total.
