Bane,Matt's wolf, is a malamute cross and constant companion, gotten as a puppy when he and Jenny were still together for their son Tyler. When Tyler died, Bane went with Matt. Smart and determined, Bane is fiercely loyal. In his younger days, he was a search and rescue dog, trained to respond to both hand and voice commands.
