Ice Hunt is written is straight forward English language. There is a good deal of scientific reference made involving the research being done at the Ice Station but despite occasional forays into descriptive science, it is not confusing or overly technical, and is easy for the reader to follow. There are passages devoted to cryogenics, and to the research the Russians did including experimentation, but they are well described and defined, lending an authenticity to the story that would otherwise be lacking.
