Ramon Llull was a great European philosopher, who was born on the island of Mallorca. He was a child of mixed religious inheritance..... one parent Muslim, the other Christian. As an adult, he joined the Franciscan Order and devoted his life to converting people, mainly Muslims, to Christianity.
