Sam Goode from I Am Number Four is John's best friend at high school. He is very into astronomy, due in large part to his belief that his father was abducted by aliens (as it turns out he is right). Sam is really into alient invasion stories and conspiracies by the government and subscribes to all of the magazines and shows that he can find. When he sees John's legacy poers he is terrified, but when Henri explains who they are and why they are on Earth, he becomes one of John's biggest supporters and staunch ally.
