Lorien from I Am Number Four is a term used to represent the residents of the planet Lorien. They are a group of people who are basically comprised of those with powers (the Garde) and those without powers (Cepan). The Cepan are assigned to the Garde when they are children, and they help educate the growing Garde on the history of the planet and how to use their powers.
