The rules concerning the killing of Legacy children from Lorien are that they have to be killed in order. If someone makes an attempt on a Garde child out of sequence whatever the attacker was trying to do is turned against them by a spell that guards the legacy children. IF the children all come back together and unite, then they will lose the protection of the spell and they can be killed out of sequence.
