What is the theme in I, Robot by Isaac Asimov?

This novel is a sci-fi novel that focuses on robotics. Robotics is the development of humanoid style machines that can complete complex tasks. The author imagines robots of all kinds, including those that are gentle enough to care for children, those that can work in dangerous mines, and those that can pass as human and govern as a part of a world-wide government.

However, Asimov also imagines that humans will not trust these robots, and this will lead to conflict between humans and robots.
