Who is Rachel Weintraub from Hyperion and what is their importance?

Rachel Weintraub is Sol and Sarai's daughter. She is an archaeologist, who travels to Hyperion and studies the Time Tombs. Rachel is caught inside the Sphinx when a surge in the anti-entropic fields occurs and causes her to age backwards. By the time she is an infant again, her parents decide she must return to Hyperion in search for a cure.
