How to Tell a True War Story summary.

This is a story within the great story, The Things They Carried by Tim O'brien.

He basically says that no war tale is a moral tale and that there is nothing linear or pretty about a war story. He talks about how he can tell the story a million different ways and each person will take away from it what they would like. He is telling this story to a friend's sister after that friend was killed.
