What is the setting in the story, Someone Like You?

Someone Like You is set almost entirely in Lakeview, which is a neighborhood that encompasses several cul-de-sacs and streets that are bracketed by hand carved signs and wooden posts. The only other real distinguishing feature is the new airport. The story begins while Halley is at camp, one week into a two week stay. She gets a phone call from her best friend Scarlett who tells her that her boyfriend Michael was just killed in an accident. Devastated, she asks Halley to come home, and Halley does. Scarlett and Halley both have jobs at Milton's as cashiers. The story revolves around small town living and lifestyle.
