How does Johnny respond to Thumper's invitation to come over for dinner?

Johnny has been waiting for this phone call from Thumper for a very long time. When she finally calls, however, Johnny declines. As they are speaking, the phone shuts off because of Johnny's inability to pay his phone bill on time.
